About

Memory is the first artist

Before we ever pick up a pencil, our minds are already editing, softening some scenes, sharpening others, losing whole years. This project is about what happens when people take that private editing process and make it visible.

The idea

Beyond Words is an online platform where people can submit original creative works inspired by psychological themes and emotions such as identity, hope, belonging, memory, resilience and growth. The aim is not to find the best artwork, but to show how many different answers there are to the same feeling.

Who it's for

  • Teenagers and young adults finding a language for what they feel
  • Artists of any skill level, self-taught or trained
  • Anyone curious about art, psychology or creativity
  • Students and teachers using the collection as a starting point

How it works

  1. 01

    Choose a theme

Pick one of the six prompts, or bring your own psychological theme.

  2. 02

    Make and send

Submit the piece with a short note about the feeling behind it.

  3. 03

    Be exhibited

Accepted work joins the online gallery, credited to you.

Beyond the screen

The collection begins online, starting with a digital gallery, and we hope to make it into a physical gallery.
